ANDERSON Advertising & Public Relations
Changes at MMA Advertising Include New Name, Leadership, and Clients
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA – MMA Advertising of Scottsdale, Arizona is pleased to announce their renaming as ANDERSON Advertising & Public Relations. After almost six years in the marketplace, the thriving boutique full-service communications agency will continue to provide top-notch strategic marketing services to their clients, including planning, creative, media planning and placement, public relations, media relations, crisis communications, social media campaigns, design and in-house broadcast production.
“Over the years, we’ve made changes in our ownership and management structure,” said Ted Anderson, President and Director of Client Services for ANDERSON. “As with most other agencies, our priority is always clients first, and we unfortunately neglect our own brand. We recognized that a re-positioning was due. It’s time to leave the ‘MMA’ moniker behind.”
ANDERSON enters the new year with not only a new name and brand, but with new leadership at the top of their public relations and creative teams.
Jeff Hecht, a Valley PR veteran with over 19 years of corporate and agency public relations experience, recently joined the team as Director of Public Relations. Hecht previously served as the Director of Corporate Communications for the Phoenix Coyotes, Director of Public Affairs for The Ellman Companies, and owned his own public relations and copywriting consulting firm. Hecht will oversee all public relations clients, supervising the planning and execution of campaigns for clients. Working alongside Hecht on the public relations team is Valley newcomer Molly Maguth, ANDERSON’s Public Relations Account Manager. Maguth formerly worked with Lori Diamond Public Relations and Pierce Mattie Public Relations in New York and brings her experience in lifestyle and consumer brands such as Pharmacopia, Hair Rules, CLEAN, and blinc cosmetics to the new ANDERSON agency.
Also joining the agency is Laurie Godfrey, heading up the creative team overseeing the agency work on accounts such as Harkins Theatres, Desert Schools, Arizona Mills and Mayo Clinic. Laurie joins the agency from RIESTER, where she worked on the development of signature campaigns for the Talking Stick Resort launch, Casino Arizona, and the Arizona Lottery MegaMillions campaign launch.
“We have a great team, with incredible energy and creativity. Laurie and Jeff bring a level of experience and professionalism that will be a great asset not only to the agency, but more importantly to our clients,” said Anderson.
ANDERSON also announced the recent addition of two significant accounts to their PR portfolio, the Mayo Clinic Medallion Program and Desert Schools Federal Credit Union.
“We’re honored to work with such a renowned organization as Mayo Clinic,” said Hecht. “Working alongside their internal staff, the Agency will coordinate and execute targeted PR efforts for the newly launched Medallion Program in both the local and regional market.”
“Desert Schools is not only Arizona’s largest local financial institution,” noted Hecht, “but they’re also one of the Valley’s most community conscious corporate citizens, giving their money, time, and resources to various non-profits for the advancement and support of our community as a whole. We’re incredibly proud to represent such an exemplary organization.”
